About Jeffrey Ross
Jeffrey Ross Lifschultz (born September 13, 1965), best known as Jeffrey Ross, is an American stand-up comedian, insult comic, actor, director and author.
As a stand-up comic, Ross has appeared on TV shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing, ABC's The View, and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. In addition to his television credits, he is also a regular on The Opie and Anthony Show, and performs regularly for American servicemen and women stationed worldwide, and in support of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort in Louisiana and Mississippi. Along with Lisa Lampanelli, he is considered one of the last insult comics.
Ross is also the current New York Friars' Club "Roastmaster General", and was a roaster for the last six Comedy Central roasts: Pamela Anderson in 2005, William Shatner in 2006, Flavor Flav in 2007, Bob Saget in 2008, Larry the Cable Guy in 2009, and Joan Rivers in 2009. He has also written for, performed in and/or produced several other celebrity roasts, including those for Hugh Hefner, Rob Reiner, Jerry Stiller, Drew Carey, Emmitt Smith, Carson Daly, Mike Greenberg, Mike Golic, Gene Simmons, and Joan Rivers.
He is also the author of a book released September 15, 2009, entitled "I Only Roast the Ones I Love: Busting Balls Without Burning Bridges."
